TapperĀ“s sculptures are rooted in experiences derived from memories and remembered images of various spaces, and rural and urban cultures of constructions. Also exerting an influence in the background to the sculptures is the landscape. It does not appear as such, but can be sensed via the depiction of sunlight, water, time of day or season. The human-figure sculptures and still lifes are likewise based on observations. Not just of individual humans, pots, bottles or loaves of bread, but also of being human, drinking and eating.
